Developing Pyramids technique:

The Egyptians pyramids were built over 5000 years ago. Like what engineers and scientists will go through today, the techniques developed to build the pyramids went through series of trails and failures. There were setbacks in finding the suitable technique for building that structures. Egypt needed the brains to execute that magic.

Pyramids were made in simple rectangle “mastaba” tombs that were constructed in Egypt. Sir Flinders Petrie; an Archaeologist  according to his findings, says that, the best technique was discovered around 2630 B.C during the reign of Pharaoh Djoser. His building of “mastaba” tomb at Saqqara began by building a simple rectangular tomb before being developed into a six-layered step pyramid with underground tunnels and chambers.

Another technique was also discovered by Pharaoh Snefru’s architects. His reign was around 2575 B.C. With his technique, he rather built a smooth-face pyramid than constructing step pyramids. Pharaoh Snefru built three pyramids of which the Dahshur, known today as “red pyramid”, the name was chosen because of the color of the stone used for it construction, is the famous one.

These techniques discovered by Archaeologists and Scientists have proven that, indeed, Egypt architects and engineers were of higher knowledge and skills in their profession.
